The clubs are lightweight and forgiving. My son hits it about 160 yds off the tee with the driver. My only knock on the set is the bag could have been made a little better. It is ok and is certainly lightweight but it seems a little flimsy. Some people may think I am being too picky but...the grips and the shafts were not lined up on all of the clubs. My son received these for his 8th birthday (he is a little tall), he is a good player for his age and I sprung for a better set he could grow in to. I have always told him to point the letters on the grip/shaft straight up to square the clubface. It is a great reminder and visual aid for little guys. These shafts are all kinds of caddiwompus...that's right, I said caddiwompus! It's like they were just slapped together any ol way because they are a child's set. You would not walk into a golf retailer and find a Ping driver in such condition and if they are going to put their name on them and charge a premium price then neither should these. Playability is fine, but the craftsmanship was lacking. Will spend some time at the range making "square to the target" more complicated than it needs to be for an 8 year old...
